At one time Thuy Tien Lake was a bit more mysterious and sensational. Accounts claimed the only way to find the park was by directions passed from one backpacker to another and tales spoke of starving crocodiles left to fend for themselves inside the park’s aquarium. Today the crumbling water park is listed clearly on Google Maps.

The turbine hall is like a jump puzzle setpiece in a video game with openings in the floor leading to dark flooded cellars of imperceptible depth. With more than 30 years of unconstrained intrusion, nature has completely infiltrated all the structures chambers and alcoves.
